Heartily is built by one person. If something's broken, missing, or just feels off, the fastest way to fix it is to email the person who wrote the code. Same email gets to the right place for refunds, feature requests, or bug reports.

Common questions

My strap won't pair. +

Three things to check, in order:

  1. The strap is on your chest and the contact patches are damp. Polar H10 needs skin contact to start advertising.
  2. Bluetooth is on in iOS Settings, and Heartily has the Bluetooth permission (Settings → Heartily).
  3. No other app is currently connected to the strap. Polar Beat or Strava will hold the connection.
The BPM badge says "— BPM" partway through my clip. +

That means the strap dropped connection during that window — usually because the chest patches dried out or the strap shifted. Heartily keeps recording and resumes BPM the moment the connection comes back. The CSV sidecar shows the exact seconds the signal was lost so you can correlate.

Can I use it with Apple Watch? +

Not yet. Apple Watch HR doesn't broadcast over standard Bluetooth — it ships through HealthKit. Adding that path is on the roadmap; for now, Heartily needs a Bluetooth chest strap.

I bought Pro on one device. Will it work on my second iPhone? +

Yes — Pro is tied to your Apple ID. On the second device, open Settings → Show Heartily watermark → tap → Restore Purchases at the bottom of the paywall sheet. Apple confirms the previous purchase and Pro unlocks.

I want a refund. +

Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple, not Heartily. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the purchase, request a refund. No hard feelings — just email me and tell me what didn't work; I'll usually fix it within a day or two.

Feature requests

The roadmap is short, opinionated, and shaped by the people who actually use the app. If there's something you want, write a one-line email — "BPM zones on the badge" or "landscape recording for cycling" — and it goes on the list. The features that get the most "+1"s from real users get built first.
